for children removed from their parents' care.
While at the center, children will receive:
-
Medical and
psychological exams
-
Counseling to
address their emotional needs
-
Transportation to
their school of origin
-
Activities and a
structured environment designed to assist them
in their transition
-
Special events
and activities such as bowling, movies, pizza
night, etc.
-
Mentors to
assist them with schoolwork
Children and youth
staying at the center will be provided with
counseling to help them deal with their transition
into foster care or reunification with their families. A special family visitation
room is also provided when parents are able to
visit their children at CSAC.
Youth preparing to
"age out" of the foster care system will
be provided with life skills to prepare them for
independent living in the future.
